The Executive Chairman of Ìwó Local Government, Hon. Moshood Kabir Adekunle (Irorun), has showered praises on Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, for what he described as unprecedented developmental strides across Ìwó and its environs.
Speaking in a statement made available to the public, Irorun commended the governor for his visible commitment to infrastructure and inclusive governance, noting that the people of Ìwó have become direct beneficiaries of purposeful leadership.
“For all the remarkable jobs His Excellency has done ranging from the construction of multiple roads, numbering close to ten, to the strategic dualization from Odo-Ori to Oja-Ale extending toward the palace Ìwó has every reason to stand firmly with him,” Irorun stated.
He further highlighted that beyond infrastructural development, the governor has demonstrated fairness and recognition of Ìwó indigenes by appointing competent individuals from the town into key positions within the administration.
Among them is the governor’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, alongside several Special Advisers and other critical appointees.
According to Irorun, these gestures are not only symbolic but practical steps that strengthen governance and ensure effective representation of Ìwó interests at the state level.
“These deliberate inclusions will no doubt enhance service delivery and deepen the connection between the government and the grassroots. It is only right that Ìwó reciprocates this goodwill with unwavering support,” he added.
The council chairman concluded by assuring that the people of Ìwó are fully mobilized and prepared to deliver overwhelming support for Governor Adeleke, emphasizing unity, gratitude, and continuity of progress as guiding principles.
