The Irorun Media Team has released a statement conveying the position of the Executive Chairman of Ìwó Local Government, Hon. Moshood Kabir Adekunle, in support of the second-term bid of Governor Ademola Adeleke, describing continuity as essential to sustaining ongoing development in the state and particularly in Ìwó.
According to the statement, Irorun maintained that governance should be assessed based on visible results and ongoing impact at the grassroots, arguing that the current administration has recorded notable progress in infrastructure and community development within the area.
He pointed to the dualisation of the Odo Ori–Post Office corridor in Ìwó as one of the key interventions reshaping the town’s commercial and transportation landscape, describing it as a significant step toward urban renewal.
The statement also referenced plans for the rehabilitation of the Ìwó–Osogbo road, alongside other state-backed efforts aimed at improving connectivity and easing movement for residents and traders.
Beyond road infrastructure, Irorun highlighted broader projects attributed to the Adeleke administration, including solar-powered street lighting, waterworks rehabilitation, healthcare facility upgrades, the drilling of multiple boreholes across Iwoland, and the reconstruction of the Adeeke Bridge.
He noted that these developments have had direct effects on daily life in Ìwó, particularly in improving access to basic amenities and strengthening local economic activities.
Irorun further stressed that his position is informed by grassroots realities and continuous engagement with residents, adding that the call for continuity is aimed at consolidating and expanding existing gains rather than disrupting them.
The statement concluded that the ongoing development trajectory in Ìwó presents a strong case for continuity in leadership to ensure that initiated projects are fully completed and their benefits maximized.
