The people of Ìwó are set to benefit from a groundbreaking community initiative as the OBJ Empowerment Programme officially takes off this month. The scheme, spearheaded by Hon. Osunwo Biliaminu Jide (OBJ), will equip more than 200 participants with practical skills aimed at boosting self-reliance and creating new economic opportunities.
During a general meeting held today, it was announced that preparations are in top gear, with registration forms already distributed across the 15 ward chairmen in Ìwó Local Government to ensure wide participation and inclusiveness.
The official opening ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at Reality Radio Vision Service, Ìwó.
According to the organizers, beneficiaries will receive free training in highly sought-after skills, including:
Solar Inverter Installation
CCTV Setup
GPS Tracker Installation
Tye & Dye (Adire)
The programme is expected to inspire hope, provide sustainable livelihoods, and strengthen the foundation of self-reliance for residents of Ìwó. Community leaders, stakeholders, and youths have been urged to take advantage of the opportunity.
