TikTok star Amadou “Jarvis” Aminata has opened up about the delay in her marriage to fellow content creator Habeeb “Peller” Hamzat, despite their engagement.
Peller proposed to Jarvis in December 2024, and by July 2025, she publicly confirmed the engagement. However, Jarvis revealed during a TikTok live session that the wedding had not taken place because of concerns about Peller’s age and financial stability.
According to her, being older than Peller makes her cautious. She explained that she does not want to pressure him into marriage at a young age, stressing that he still needs time to learn and gain life experience. She also noted that his unstable income remains a challenge.
“I’m old enough to get married, but his age is slowing me down. If he were older than me by now, we’d have married. I don’t want to pressure him into marriage at this age. I also don’t want to be caged by marriage when I still have a lot to achieve,” the 23-year-old said.
While Jarvis is considering marriage in about three years, Peller countered that age is not his obstacle. He said his main fear is that her family might interfere in their relationship.
The couple has been in the spotlight before, notably after a video from a Lagos concert showed Peller pushing Jarvis. Both later clarified that the incident was playful and not abusive.
