Abuja – September 14, 2025 –
The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has directed all 286,697 shortlisted candidates for its ongoing recruitment to validate their email addresses on the official recruitment portal.
The announcement, made on the Service’s official X (Twitter) handle on Saturday, emphasized that all communication will henceforth be through registered emails only, warning applicants to ignore messages from unofficial platforms or social media pages.
Due to complaints from some applicants who failed to receive official messages, the NCS urged candidates to:
Visit the recruitment portal via http://updates.customs.gov.ng.
Log in with their NIN used during registration.
Confirm and update their registered email address.
The Service stressed that only candidates with verified emails will receive CBT instructions, pre-test links, and login credentials once the test date is announced.
It also reiterated that the NCS does not demand or accept any form of payment for recruitment, cautioning applicants against falling for fraudulent schemes.
