The Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) University in Kwara State is set to begin academic operations in 2026, according to Rev. Esther Ajayi, Chairperson of the C&S Centenary Anniversary Steering Committee.

Ajayi, who is also the Founder of Love of Christ Church, Lagos, disclosed this to the News Agency of Nigeria on the sidelines of the C&S centenary lecture held in Lagos. She said the institution is about 80 per cent complete and represents a major milestone in the church’s 100-year history.
Highlighting the role of the university, Ajayi explained that it would help shape future leaders, address moral decline, and instill values essential for societal progress. She noted that the church seeks to remodel holiness in everyday life, with the institution serving as a platform to raise morally upright and purpose-driven individuals.
“The church is setting up institutions and structures to advance its bridge-building in the world. A renewed C&S inspires generations and the global community to rediscover its roots and embrace true human service,” she said.
Ajayi added that the university would also serve as a training ground for bold minds equipped to spread the gospel globally, particularly in Europe and the West, as part of efforts to tackle the social challenges confronting humanity.
