Osun State Governor-Elect, Senator Ademola Adeleke today, 16th August 2022, played host to the leadership of Iwo PDP over the recent happening in the chapter of the party.
It will be recalled that the erstwhile holder of the party's House of Assembly ticket, Hon Kabir Moshood Irorun recently withrew and voluntarily relinquished his candidature to Mr Adesina Rabiu Gafar. Hon Irorun in his words stated that his decision was borne out of his desire to always put the party's interest first. He noted that zoning of House of Assembly seat is an unwritten norm in Iwo LG and in order to ensure the party come out victorious, the zone next to occupy the seat, Oke Adan must have the ticket of the party.
Senator Ademola Adeleke while addressing the party members extoled the virtues of Hon Irorun, a man he described as a loyal party man. He appreciated him for his decision to let the ticket go. He further admonished the leadership of the party in Iwo on the need to work together in unity so as to ensure the party win all the elective positions available in the next general election. He warned that any person or group of persons caught to be causing disaffection, crisis or any anti-party activities will be dealt with by the party.
Other leaders and dignitaries of the party present at the parley thanked Iwo PDP and harped on unity.
Leaders of the party present include the Caretaker Committee Chairman of the party in the state, Dr Akindele Adekunle, Yeye Modupe Adeleke, Alhaji Alidu Tiamiyu, Hon Lukman Mudashir (L&K), Alhaji Sulaiman Akanji Bello (Seebee), Hon. Ibrahim Muraina Akala, Hon Afusat Amoo, Alhaji Kasali Salinsile, Hon Adio, Hon Captain and a host of others.
